Case Study: Kenvue automates 89% of cases building an in-house SOC on Torq
Key results
The challenge
Kenvue's security team, which protects household brands such as Johnson's, Band-Aid, Listerine, and Neutrogena, initially ran security through an outsourced, black-box model that gave limited visibility and little ability to measure effectiveness. As its global footprint grew, Kenvue set out to bring operations in-house and move from a reactive approach to a proactive, data-driven strategy. This required a centralized, security-native case management system to unify tools, data, queues, and indicators across the stack.
The solution
After evaluating multiple automation platforms, Kenvue selected the Torq Hyperautomation Platform for its purpose-built case management and end-to-end observability. Torq let the team normalize and standardize workflows so every escalation carried the same data and followed the same playbook, and automated much of the investigative process from case creation and enrichment through correlation and containment.
“It's clear Torq was built for security operations functions — and it's head and shoulders above any other automation tool I've used before.”

The results, in context
Kenvue's security team hit its end-of-year automation goals in just six months and is automating 89% of cases with Torq. The team also reported a 60% decrease in mean time to respond within two months, and moved from kickoff to production in six weeks, while gaining insights it can demonstrate to the business.
