The challenge

Moss, a European spend management and corporate card platform, needed to evolve from a handful of high-impact fraud rules to a multi-layered, data-driven risk strategy across markets. By 2022 it required a fraud tool with greater flexibility, operational resilience, and speed than its existing systems.

The solution

Moss adopted Marqeta's Real-Time Decisioning engine alongside Marqeta's 3D Secure solution and its own AI-driven disputes process, embedding fraud tooling directly in its card issuing platform. It operates around 30 fully utilised rules covering countries, merchant category codes, and merchant IDs.
