Case Study: ArcelorMittal identifies €266K+ in ROI with 360Learning
Key results
The challenge
ArcelorMittal is a global steel and mining company with 125,000 employees and production in 15 countries. Its previous learning platform had built a base of around 110,000 active learners over a decade, but as the organization grew more complex it needed to make expert knowledge shareable across sites and re-engage a dispersed workforce.
The solution
The company built AMU 360, an academy on 360Learning driven by internal experts. Subject-matter experts such as a plant maintenance operations manager authored courses, and administrators distributed globally managed learning spaces so knowledge could be created and shared across all sites.
“It's really changed from us trying to push learning out to people asking and trying to pull learning in.”
SGStacey VanderHeiden GüneyGlobal Head of Learning & General Manager, ArcelorMittal
The results, in context
ArcelorMittal identified over €266K in financial ROI, including €116K in education and training savings and over €150K in standardization savings. In its first year AMU 360 reached more than 150,000 active learners, exceeding the peak of the previous platform, and active learners grew 75% in the first six months.
