The challenge
Perion, a global advertising technology company running most of its production workloads on AWS, previously relied on two separate security vendors, adding complexity to its application security posture management program. The security alerts these tools produced lacked business context, making it hard for developers to prioritize them. Alerts that fell outside developers' existing workflows often went unresolved.
The solution
Perion consolidated onto Jit's ASPM platform, which delivers security recommendations directly as comments inside GitHub pull requests so developers can resolve issues without leaving their environment. Jit integrated with Perion's AWS environment via a read-only CloudFormation template to map each vulnerability to runtime context such as Lambda functions, EC2 and RDS instances. This let the team prioritize internet-facing and data-sensitive risks while reducing alert noise.

The results, in context
According to Jit's user story, once developers could independently resolve security issues within their workflow, Perion's SLA for resolving security issues improved by 6.2% after just a few months.
