Case Study: Urenbank turned weeks of UX research synthesis into a day with Fireflies
Key results
The challenge
Toon Buddingh, an innovation specialist at Urenbank, a Netherlands-based private investment fund for very early-stage startups, ran frequent one-to-one and UX research interviews. Grouping findings by theme and synthesizing them into something engineers could build from took weeks, and note-taking during interviews pulled his attention away from the conversation.
The solution
Urenbank used Fireflies auto-transcription and AI summaries alongside AskFred to query transcripts and feed insights into downstream AI synthesis, with a human verification pass on outputs.
“Now I can focus on the person I speak to and not on the text that I want to receive.”

The results, in context
Urenbank reported cutting UX research synthesis into a development plan from weeks to less than a day, weekly management reporting from about half a day to roughly 30 minutes, and post-meeting note time from about 2 hours per week to about 50 minutes. Figures are quoted from Fireflies' published customer story and dated to the sourcing date.
