Case Study: WalkMe saves 4 working days a month on regression with Applitools
Key results
The challenge
WalkMe needed to guarantee a consistent user experience across many browser and app versions, which was difficult to cover reliably with manual testing. Investigating each visual issue manually was slow and pulled the test-automation team away from higher-value work.
The solution
WalkMe adopted Applitools Eyes for automated visual UI testing, using its cloud dashboard and playback comparison alongside Selenium, a Java framework and TeamCity CI.
“You're looking at 30 minutes per bug without Applitools, compared to 5 minutes with.”
NPNir PinchasHead of Test Automation, WalkMe
The results, in context
With Applitools, WalkMe ran over 15,000 visual checkpoints per week and completed all visual UI tests in five to six hours per cycle, versus weeks with manual effort. The team reported over 20% improvement in regressions and UI bugs caught pre-release, expanded coverage from 3 to 10 browsers, and saved an average of 4 working days per month, equivalent to about two months of man-hours per year.
