Case Study: Pernod Ricard Makes Skill Data a Strategic Business Asset
Key results
The challenge
Pernod Ricard, a global spirits and beverages company of roughly 18,000 employees across 70 countries, faced rapidly changing markets and economic and regulatory pressure, making the ability to develop the right employee capabilities business-critical. It also ran redundant learning platforms and needed a single skills-centered system.
The solution
Pernod Ricard adopted Degreed as a single platform to link learning to skills, integrated tightly with Workday, and decommissioned redundant learning tools. A pilot launched in February 2026 across select countries with 4,500 employees ahead of a global rollout.
“Our business is changing and it's changing all the time. We need to bring change to our employees fast. We need to understand where they stand and what maturity they have to bring them towards the future.”

The results, in context
Pernod Ricard reported saving €600K by decommissioning redundant learning platforms, with more than 92% of users returning to Degreed more than twice per month. In its research, 95% of employees said they would stay longer if their company invested in professional development.
