Case Study: Satisfying engineers' need for deeper technical training at Nutanix
Key results
The challenge
Nutanix, a leader in private, hybrid, and multi-cloud computing, relies on an engineering team of around 3,000 members whose relevancy and proficiency underpin its business model. Deep technical training had previously been offered only in person, leaving engineers outside headquarters or larger R&D locations to find training on their own.
The solution
Nutanix adopted Udemy Business to provide the most relevant technical content on demand, wherever engineers were located, and used the platform's reporting to roll up quarterly usage statistics for executives and senior stakeholders.
“Before Udemy was in place, our engineering community had very limited offerings and opportunities to learn at Nutanix. Udemy has really moved the needle for us as upskilling and reskilling are more important than ever before.”

The results, in context
Nutanix reported that 82% of Udemy license holders were actively learning and that more than 1,750 courses were consumed in 12 months. The engineering enablement team credited the platform with expanding previously limited learning opportunities.
