Case Study: BBC Studios transforms data governance with Sifflet
Key results
The challenge
BBC Studios, the principal commercial arm of the BBC, manages data across a Snowflake, Fivetran, Amazon QuickSight and GitHub stack. Teams needed clearer visibility into their data assets and a faster way to detect and resolve incidents across multiple countries.
The solution
BBC Studios deployed Sifflet for data quality monitoring and lineage over a three-week implementation. The platform applied automated quality checks and gave both technical and business users end-to-end visibility into their data assets.
“Sifflet provides such a good UI for a user of any kind of level to utilize it and understand their data. It's really business focused and it translates metadata in a way that a technically focused warehouse can't.”

The results, in context
The rollout covered 139 monitored assets and 87 automated quality checks, 70 of which were labeled critical severity, and empowered more than 50 users. Faster incident detection and resolution reduced downtime and boosted confidence in data-driven decisions.
